They’re Waiting

Sometimes they’re just as excited to see you as you are to see them!  Be prepared to be amazed at our local population of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin.

There is nothing better than watching wild dolphins in their natural environment.   But this picture here is exactly what we don’t do.  It is illegal to swim, feed or in any way harass wild dolphins.  So we don’t.  We observe them in their natural habitat doing exactly what they love to do…play.

For lack of a better term, we are incredibly blessed to have a local indigenous dolphin population here in Key West.  These wonderful creatures are migratory in nature, but we have a group of around 200 that call Key West waters home.

When we’re out on the water, it’s always fun to try and spot familiar dorsal fins. This unique one just happens to belong to wonderful guy named Hatchet Fin.
