Nurse Sharks

Nurse Sharks

This sight is not uncommon at all.  This little guy is a relatively harmless Nurse shark.  Harmless unless you’re a lobster that is.  Easily the most commonly found shark in our local waters, he is one of about 8 different species you may encounter while tooling around.

Sea Turtles Too

Sea Turtles Too

Although easily startled and not likely to stay around long, sea turtles like this Loggerhead seen here are frequent visitors to Key West waters.  If you click the picture, look closely at his underside…he has a friend doing a little house cleaning!

Looe Key Reef

Looe Key Reef

This area of our Barrier Reef offers snorkelers and divers a very diverse sea life experience.  At this relatively untouched area of the reef, it is not uncommon to see a few different species of Sharks…all within a few minutes.

Sand Key Reef

Sand Key Reef

This one of the most popular and frequently visited spots on our nearby reefline.  Sand Key Lighthouse typically offers great water clarity and an abundance of schooling fish…including some big ol’ Barracuda.
